Kew Gardens will be using OOKL to explore the science and art of Henry Moore at Kew. They will also be using OOKL to support the teaching of ecology and botany, both at Kew and at the National Seed Bank at Wakehurst Place.

This partnership follows a number of successful trials of OOKL with Kew’s education department and the Institute of Education. The trials showed that OOKL helped children to engage in learning constructively, giving them self-motivation and the ability to share their enthusiasm. They worked like scientists because they were investigating and collecting evidence.

“We recently borrowed some OOKL’s for our super learning day from Abraham Moss City Learning Centre. The children thought they were fantastic. Nursery children to year six were taking photos and recording sounds and they are now being used by our news team at school. OOKL even got a mention when Channel M and the Manchester News channel covered our super learning day.” ICT coordinator at Victoria Avenue Primary School.

OOKL is now available for the 26 schools that use the Abraham Moss City Learning Centre in North Manchester.
