The good folks at the Universities of Sussex and Nottingham and the London Knowledge lab used OOKL to test a range of mobile learning theories. In the experiment, they used OOKL and other mobile learning tools to help students to learn about eco-friendly and sustainability issues within an informal setting at a summer camp. OOKL was used both to capture evidence in the field and create online presentations. While it was primarily used for photo and note taking, OOKL can also be used to deliver clues and help students to record interviews with each other. Read the paper here.
